When I first started right out of college, I was shooting weddings on film. I got my start in photojournalism at CBS News at the White House with GW Bush and Obama and then moved to England and worked all throughout Europe and Africa covering political engagements for NATO and US Africa Command.
I’ve had an awesome career and now am focused on corporate, boudoir, and family portraiture so I can stay local for my little guys.
I shoot in a photo documentary style, which means I capture it as I see it, in real time. I record moments as they unfold, with minimal posing and intrusion. I can be super silly and animated when working with kids to get their “real” smiles and I am also very direct in posing – I will tell you exactly what I want you to do with your body and facial expression. I’ll also show you the images on the back of the camera while we work together! Know that this will be much easier than you think.
My work has taken me all over the world: from Europe and NATO Headquarters to the French Riviera, London, Amsterdam, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, to all around Africa in The Gambia and Nigeria, Cameroon, and Ghana to the eastern jungles of Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. I’ve been to the northern regions in the Saharan Desert in Morocco and Algeria and to the south in Zambia, South Africa, Lesotho, and beyond. Sri Lanka and Australia and New Zealand were amazing far corners of the world to experience and photograph, and of course I am all around the US for local work frequently.

Every new photoshoot and project makes me feel so incredibly thankful for all I’ve done and seen and experienced. All due to my love for photography and freezing a scene in time with this little thing called a camera – I’ve been able to travel the globe and meet some truly wonderful people. How blessed am I?
