How GORGEOUS is Danielle!! It was her idea to use her high school senior prom dress as a little “trash the dress” senior photo session, and wow did she nail it. We “frolicked” (her word) around in the mountains for a fun summer morning of pictures and laughs. We also hit up the paint mines, just outside of Colorado Springs – her idea! – and it was so worth it. So much fun exploring and shooting with this girl. She has an amazing personality and a wonderful attitude on life. All we did was laugh! And she was a steller model. Here are a few of my favorites!

How absolutely PRECIOUS is this little girl!? We did the shoot when baby Jules was nine weeks old, just beginning to smile and laugh, and it was just HEAVEN! I just loved worked with the Hallums… they are the best kind of people: laid back, super cool, and open for any ideas I had! The images are just stunning. I woke up every morning during the two weeks I worked on these edits, just so excited at what else I would find. I literally just cannot believe how beautiful this baby is! Lance and Kristi.. you are in so much trouble in another 16 years! She is GORGEOUS!

Lifestyle photography sessions with babies – newborns, or otherwise – are quickly becoming my favorite subject to photograph. I just love their tiny hands, their sweet lashes, and their baby noises. They only stay that small for a matter of weeks.. and I was just beyond honored to capture Jules’s first photographs!

What an AWESOME family these guys are! They were in town from Boston visiting friends and called me up for a session after seeing images of their friends on website. How grateful I am for little gems like the Lukowskis to land in my lap. These were just the most gracious, kind, sweet, and fun family to photograph and to work with. We spent a summer afternoon hanging out at Bear Creek Nature park in Colorado Springs, and they LOVED it. Their adorable sons stomped around, picked flowers for mommy, and just generally had a blast. All I had to do was aim the lens and snap away. Families like these are just wonderful and make me love my job even more! Here are a few favorites from our lifestyle session:

I am so excited to announce that I will now be doing in-hospital fresh 48 sessions! These are very special, intimate sessions that take place in your hospital room, in the first 24 – 48 hours of your baby’s life. These lifestyle sessions are perfect for capturing you all snuggling, getting to know each other, and those first few hours of quiet magic in your new baby’s life. I also love to capture your little one’s first yawns, detail shots of their sweet baby fingers and toes, and the love and interaction between you all in baby’s first day of life.

This was my second fresh 48 session, this time with the Leonardo family. I LOVED capturing little Florian’s first portraits.. he was such a chill, sweet little guy, just taking in the world around him. He looked right at me and into my camera, as if to say, “hello world. I am ready for you!”… I also had the honor of capturing older brother Emmerich and big sister Adelaide’s first meeting with their new baby brother! It was just precious, and I felt so lucky to witness all the love in the room with this family’s newest member. Here are a few of my favorite shots! I cant wait for more of these sessions. I just loved capturing this magic!

Can I tell you how much I love this family? I LOVE THEM. They were so wonderfully fun, full of smiles, ready to explore, and just a blast to work with. They were up for checking everything out at the Bear Creek Colorado nature center where we had our photoshoot, and were just so laid back and ready to go wherever! (Including laying in some very thick grass.. which made for awesome vibrant photos!).. Also – something that’s over rated (in my opinion) when planning a photoshoot – is the amount of stress mama spends on figuring clothing out! This mama was stressing a little, saying that her daughter LOVES outlandish, crazy patterns and mixing things up. That’s her style! She was stressing that they wouldnt be coordinated, and then mama and I had a conversation – I told her, ya know what? That’s your daughter in all of her beautiful glory. Let her be herself! Let her pick her crazy fun outfit! And you and your son coordinate with whatever she picks. And she said, whew! You’re right! I want to remember her like this, doing exactly what she does… and, folks… dont they just look marvelous! Here are a few of my favorites:

I was SO thrilled when high school senior Jill called me and asked to shoot around Colorado Springs for her senior portraits. Right now, the Springs has some beautiful green grass and some gorgeous wildflowers! May and June have to be my new favorite time to shoot, hands down, in my new city. It’s just so vibrant after all this rain – who knew this arid high desert could be so alive, so green, and so spring-like! Jill’s senior photo session was wonderful. This girl truly has it all together – she is so mature and such a lovely woman. She already knows where she’s going to college and what she’s going to study – and she hasnt even started her senior year yet! We had such a blast shooting around different locations throughout Colorado Springs, and the photographs turned out SO great! She let me photograph her wherever I wanted, which was awesome. Ohhh my goodness. There has been so much rain here lately and the green is POPPING! I spent a Saturday morning recently with the Leonardos who are expecting their third, and we had SO much fun! We were stomping in the river, climbing on trees, and just having a blast. These two kids are wonderful! And their family is just the best – they had such great energy for our photoshoot.. and isnt Natascha just BEAUTIFUL folks?!! Ah. I just love them! Here are a few of my favorites: 

WOAH! Holy cow, I had so much fun with these seniors. There was a whole group of them – throngs of them! They were all friends of my subject, Devon… they all came out to see how a photoshoot works and to hang out with their friend Devon during her shoot. And OMG… it was informal, off-the-cuff, FULL of energy and really, really awesome. We had so. much. FUN! Check out some of my favorites:

How beautiful are little Bellasanaa and Viktoria? Mama is originally from Hungary and she models on the side! How lucky was I to photograph them in this beautiful little field of blooming wild flowers? I love love love mother’s day photoshoots.. there is something so special about a bond between mama and daughter. These two are just gorgeous, dont you think?

Happy, happy birthday sweet little man! It has been such a gift to watch you grow from your very first days of life with your mama and daddy to the BIG BOY you have now become! Little Everett turns one tomorrow, and he could not be any cuter and more wonderful. I just love this little guy. We just had Everett’s first birthday shoot and it was so much fun.
